- Do I need to book in advance?
- For hand tools, usually not. For diggers, dumpers and anything else there is only one or two of, ring ahead or send an enquiry, especially for a weekend.
- How much does it cost?
- Rates depend on the machine and how long you keep it, and a week is far better value than five separate days. Send an enquiry with what you need and we will come back with a price.
- Can I hire for one day?
- Yes. A day rate is available on nearly everything, and weekend hires are usually charged as a single period.
- Do you deliver?
- We deliver around Gorey, Arklow, Enniscorthy and the surrounding area. Ask for a delivery price when you enquire.
- What do I need to bring?
- Photo identification and proof of address if it is your first time hiring with us. Bring your own boots, gloves and eye protection.
- Is fuel included?
- Machines go out fuelled and should come back fuelled. If they come back empty we charge for refuelling.
- What identification do I need?
- Photo identification, a driving licence or passport, and something with your current address on it such as a utility bill. The person named on the identification is the person who signs for the hire.
- Is there a deposit?
- On most hires, yes. The amount depends on the machine and we tell you before you commit, not afterwards. You get it back when the equipment comes back in the condition it went out.
- How do I end a hire?
- Ring 053 94 80395 and we will give you an off-hire number. Keep it, because it is your proof of the date the charges stopped. The hire keeps running until you tell us it is finished, so leaving a machine back without telling anyone does not stop the clock.
- Who pays if something gets damaged?
- Normal wear is on us. Damage is not, and neither are punctures, tyre damage or worn blades and cutting edges. Check whether your own insurance covers hired-in plant, especially for bigger machines.
- Can I take it in the car, or do I need a trailer?
- Each item page says which, and gives the weight. If it needs a trailer and you do not have one, we can deliver it.
- What if it breaks down?
- Stop using it, make the area safe and ring 053 94 80395. We will repair or swap it. Do not attempt a repair yourself.
- Do you hire to the public, or trade only?
- Both. Most of the fleet goes out to people doing a job at home, and they get the same rates as the trade.
